first semester of a two-semester course sequence, covering world history from early civilizations, the empires of the ancient world, regional civilizations, the Enlightenment and Revolution, a new global age, to the age of absolutism. World History II, together with this course, complete a full-year social science elective.
The course is designed to incorporate the Oregon Department of Education common curriculum goals, content standards, and grade-level benchmarks for this subject matter.
½ credit, 4 assignments, 1 exam
