ES01 Earth Sciences I, First Semester

Course Description

First semester of a one-year course. Topics: the planet Earth as an ecosystem and biome; mass, matter and energy; conversation of matter and energy; carrying capacity; energy credits and conversion; thermodynamics; plate tectonics, rock types, ore, alloys, using minerals and environmental impact of mining; growth and population. Students will use the scientific method to complete lab experiments.
