Course Description

This course introduces advanced web development methods utilizing HTML5 and CSS3 coding. Students are guided through the development of a fully hand coded HTML5 and CSS3 website utilizing efficient workflow and best practices. The concept of effective HTML and Style Sheet design is a fundamental objective taught in this course.

The HTML5 and CSS3 course follows seven modules over a five week period. Each module introduces an important topic in HTML5 and CSS3 development and builds upon a previous module's concepts. All materials are geared toward learning by example using hand coding techniques with a strong emphasis on code quality and consistent design.

This online class has a weekly assignment and discussion in standards-based HTML5 followed by an introduction to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
