This course uses tools and techniques taught in Communications and Teamwork and Leadership and Conflict. The emphasis is on facilitation of teams to productive conclusions, including how to speak your truth while maintaining objectivity, how to deal with tough behaviors, encourage honesty and commitment from project members, how to encourage dialogue and discussion, and how to arrive at consensus. You become more confident in thinking on your feet and collect strategies for dealing with everyone at the table. Case studies provide the groundwork, and participants get real-time practice on real-time issues at the project table.
While there is no prerequisite for this course, it is intended for professionals with some project management experience or education.
