Course Description

To say that mobile is the next big thing is an understatement. Mobile devices already account for 50% of all Internet connections and half of all local searches. App downloads are skyrocketing. Building a mobile version of your website is no longer optional, and it's increasingly being done first. This course surveys the core principles and techniques essential to designing and building for mobile devices. Concepts, strategies, tactics, and best practices covered in the course are applicable to both mobile websites and apps. An introduction to CSS3 and HTML5 capabilities, such as geolocation, local storage, and media queries, leads into Developing for Mobile, the next course in the series.
